Texas College Democrats endorse candidates in local races

Texas — Today, the Texas College Democrats announced that it has endorsed six outstanding candidates who are running in local races. College students in particular know that all politics is local, and the road to a blue Texas is paved by county commissions and city councils. These six candidates are champions of their communities, and represent the best of what our party and our state has to offer.

We're proud to endorse:

Judge Lina Hidalgo for re-election as Harris County Judge

Commissioner David Stout for re-election as El Paso County Commissioner for Precinct 2

Dexter L. McCoy for election as Fort Bend County Commissioner for Precinct 4

Jose "Chito" Vela for election to the Austin City Council for District 4

Zohaib "Zo" Qadri for election to the Austin City Council for District 9

and Brandon Chase McGee for election to the Denton City Council for Place 5.

Texans in these communities can trust that these six candidates will fight for them continuously, not just when it's easy or convenient. We're excited to stand with them.
