Jessica Cisneros is running to unseat conservative Democrat Henry Cuellar in the House of Representatives.
Texas — Today, the Texas College Democrats announced that it has endorsed Jessica Cisneros as she runs for U.S. representative for Texas's 28th congressional district.
Jessica Cisneros’s campaign website:
Jessica Cisneros is a human rights attorney serving the people of South Texas. As a candidate, Cisneros has sworn off corporate PAC money and contributions from lobbyists. Her campaign, which puts progressive causes like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and creating a just and humane immigration system front and center, demonstrates that South Texas will have a true leader with Jessica Cisneros in office.
"Jessica Cisneros has proven that she will be a real champion for working Texans," said Johnny Ruffier, director of Political Affairs for the Texas College Democrats. "While she is advocating for substantive policies that would benefit South Texas, Henry Cuellar is focused on eradicating abortion rights and cozying up to large donors. The choice could not be more clear."
The Executive Board unanimously voted to endorse Jessica Cisneros for election.
