Texas — Today, the Texas College Democrats announced that it has endorsed eight candidates for the Texas Legislature. The Republican-controlled Legislature is, to put it mildly, out of step with what Texans want. Instead of working to fix the power grid, expand healthcare, and address gun violence, Republicans have taken to passing extreme and radical legislation out of step with the majority of Texans. It is time that our Legislature meet the needs of this moment, and actually work for the people of Texas.
